Rainy Day, Work Continues Anyway

I went to the site at sunrise this morning only to run into rain.
Of course, rain doesn't stop the work.  The gully on the northwest corner was getting a pour.
I was hoping to catch a pour for the final level of the foundation, but as you can see in this picture of the north side, the forms aren't ready yet.
The south foundation forms for the last lift are also not ready.
It looks like the west side foundation is further behind the north and south sides.
But Mr. Crane lifted in plywood for the form work.  Jacobsen crews are working two 10-hour shifts a day on the forms.
What I have been calling the west porch is not looking like a porch anymore.  It will be working space for engineering support for the new temple and will provide access to the mechanical tunnel.
Tower work continues.  This tower is one of the two towers near the Nu Skin building.   I was happy to see the original timbers being exposed.
Don't forget about the Pioneer Day 5K run.  This family-fun run/race will be between the Provo Temple and the new Provo City Temple.  And, it's free!
I'm sure the weather will be perfect that day!

I know this is slightly off topic, but what is the megalith I keep seeing over on the Nu-Skin side?

If it's something I'm interested in, it's not off-topic. I don't know what it is, either, but I've been watching it. Now that I know you see it, too, I'll be sure to take a picture when it's finished. The Nu Skin project should be finished in a few months, so we won't have long to wait.

The porch picture could turn out to be a porch if the president gets an outside access and something to access his office.

I don't know what you guys are calling the 'megalith'. On top of the new building is an oval covering for the mechanicals.

Might you please take a new picture of the 2 south enterance ramps?

Rain hasz to be better than 102 degrees.

Thanks

My memory of the project plans is that the temple president's office is on the ground level, but thank's for agreeing with me about the porch.

The second picture, just to the left of center, shows a megalith, something akin to the opening scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey. It seemed to just appear out of the blue a few weeks ago, sans monkeys.

Next time I'm at the site, I'll take a picture of the new 2nd South entrance. I was at the old one when I took the first picture on the post this morning.

And yes, despite the mild rain, the temperatures were in the 70s.

Esperanza, Julie, the concrete freestanding wall is part of the elevator tower for the Distributor Pavillion that is being built on the far west end of the Nu Skin campus directly behind the bike shop.
It is an independent building from the other two buildings and atrium called the Innovation Center.

Thanks, although I was hoping for a cool megalith.
