Water, Water Everywhere!

I almost couldn't believe my eyes this afternoon.

I love this.

The top of the fountain was patterned after a newel post in the tabernacle.

I took a short movie for you.

There are many beautiful details.

A rabble of inspectors was making everything perfect. They turned the fountain off and on several times.

Another fountain nearby, this one for thirsty people, was recently uncovered.

The beauty of the fountain almost made me forget the new railing around the steeple.

Painters are already working up there.

Notice the workman near the south entrance.

He's been finishing downspouts all around the temple.

Just another beautiful facet.

I saw another beautiful feature today.

The base of the pavilion is covered with quartzitic sandstone.

The doors at the south entrance now have stunning art glass.

I am getting confused as to which is my favorite detail at the temple.

It's all beautiful.

Every inch.

There Is Beauty All Around

I saw so many beautiful things at the temple this morning that I almost don't know where to start.

The new railing is all put together on the steeple deck.

Of course it's beautiful.

I like all the finials.

Men are still working up there.

I tried to peek inside.

Eventually the plywood door will be replaced with art glass.

Visitors to the tabernacle could look out over the city from the deck, but not anymore.

The temple doors have all been painted to match the trim around the windows.

I'm not a paint expert.

Having said that, I've picked the wrong color before.

More than once.

This is the right color.

In addition to new paint, some of the doorways have new planters.

This is a trefoil design, with symbolism associated with the three members of the Godhead.

The pointed arch is Victorian. The three foils also represent past, present and future.  

The gablets have a quatrefoil design, representing the four corners of the earth.

There is a lot of symbolism at the new temple. 

Matching planters are also at the north entrance.

Work on the south entrance is not yet complete.

There were many other beautiful things to see this morning.

Protective plywood over the brides' skylight has been removed.  Brides will look up and see art glass, but it's not visible from this view.

The fountain looked mighty pretty on this first day of fall.

A planter in the north garden has a similar design.

A twin is on the south.

The grounds are already an enormous garden.

Workmen's trucks are disappearing. 

Our view of the pavilion gets better and better.

Painters are still working on this magnificent structure.

Some have been busy at the driveway.

My camera saw something wonderful at every angle.

Even the gates are a work of art.

No matter where I looked, I saw beauty.

All the earth's a garden sweet.

Brighter beams the azure sky.
